An Update on the Global Technology Outage and LPL Systems Impact
What’s happening?
LPL is currently experiencing service disruptions as a result of the global technology outage, and some services are temporarily unavailable, including the online version of Account View. The Account View mobile app is available for you to view your accounts and balances and the majority of the data in the Account View mobile app will display as of Thursday’s market close.
LPL expects Account View data to be updated before start of business Monday.
Is the issue solved?
The LPL Technology team is making progress to restore full access and functionality of Account View. At this time, the online version of Account View is still unavailable. Please visit the Account View mobile app if you need to access your account. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
CrowdStrike, the vendor linked to the global outage, has resolved the underlying issue. This was not a security event, but rather a failed software update by a third-party vendor.
